Chris Collura Captures Wedge Tornado Near Bowdle, SD

May 22, 2010 – Once again Storm Chaser Chris Collura captures a stunning large tornado. This wedge tornado was near Bowdle, SD. I got a call yesterday evening from Chris as he was chasing this violent tornadic Supercell in South Dakota. He described the tornado as a monster, and when I received the email with the above picture, he wasn’t kidding. A impressive close up picture of this very dangerous tornado as he and several other chasers that made the call to head way north to chase.
